Nursery Delivery Driver
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting nursery products safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving, equipment handling, and horticulture.
DUTIES AND Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport nursery stock to customers and pick up shipments from vendors.
Load and unload plant material using pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report any issues.
Other duties are required as necessary or as directed by the Nursery Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
Proven delivery professional driving experience (non-entry level).
Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts.
Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
Basic horticulture knowledge and plant handling experience.Fluent in English (spoken and written)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Professional Driving: 1 year
Familiarity with nursery operations or landscaping industry.
Experience driving a tractor.
Customer Service experience.
Experience in plant identification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Outdoor settings including pick-ups and deliveries in residential and commercial areas, and at landscaping job sites.
Physical work including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
